Why does one get lines like --- on the nails of hands?

I have also seen people getting parallel lines or dotted lines on the nails .Is it aging?Why does one get lines like --- on the nails of hands?
IF your talking about the little white lines this is usually a zinc deficiency but the lines that are like grooves in the nails are usually caused by a nutritional deficiencyWhy does one get lines like --- on the nails of hands?
I think you're talking about hides. I think.. I don't know.





Hides are those little rivets in the nail and I don't know exactly how they get there... but it means that your nails are bad and unhealthy.
